Vindico Retail has entered a third year managing and operating Souq Al Jami, the market at Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre.

Typographic card reading "Souq Al Jami: three years running."

Souq Al Jami is the market at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in Abu Dhabi. It has 51 retail outlets with about 10,341 square metres of leasable space, shops and restaurants, and a family area, serving more than six million worshippers and visitors a year.

Vindico Retail manages and operates the market on behalf of the Centre, which includes the leasing administration behind its outlets. In the period covered, Vindico handled around 40 leases and renewals.

Most of our work is project work. Operating a live market is the other half of the picture, and it shows we understand how a property trades after it opens.
Peter Row, Founding Director

Running a trading market is different from delivering a fit-out. The work is continuous: tenant relationships, lease renewals, standards, and the daily condition of the space.

A market with this many outlets generates a steady flow of renewals and tenant questions. The work is keeping each one handled before it becomes a problem.
Nihad Muzamil, Head of Delivery

Vindico's role was the management and operation of the market. The Centre owns and controls the property and its use.
