Vindico Retail appointed as retail delivery consultants for Riverland Dubai

Dubai Parks and Resorts has appointed Vindico Retail as retail delivery design and management consultants on Riverland™ Dubai, part of a destination opening in October 2016.

Dubai Parks and Resorts PJSC is developing the AED 10.5 billion integrated theme park resort across 25 million square feet, with three theme parks and a water park, including the region's first LEGOLAND®. Riverland™ Dubai is the retail, dining and entertainment walkway at its centre, free to enter and laid out in four zones — The French Village, Boardwalk, India Gate and The Peninsula.

Riverland™ Dubai will be at the centre of the Dubai Parks and Resorts destination, with all guests passing through it as part of their visit. As the gateway to the destination, the layout, design and management of the outlets has to be a pleasurable experience for our visitors.

Vindico's Dubai studio is creating the retail design guidelines, technical criteria and space drawings that brands and their designers use to submit design proposals for review and approval. An on-site management team manages the interface between the brands, the developer, contractors and local authorities inside a coordinated programme.

Nihad Muzamil, Senior Retail Delivery Manager and project lead, has been part of Vindico's Middle East team since 2007. He says briefing of brands and their teams began immediately, many of them firms the team has worked with on other properties, and that those existing relationships are what allow the work to move quickly.

Vindico's role covers retail delivery design and management. Each outlet is fitted out by its brand and their contractors.
