Aldar has re-appointed Vindico Retail to an expanded retail delivery role across its retail property portfolio, under a service level agreement covering both major projects and community centres.

Aldar, Abu Dhabi's leading real estate developer, has re-appointed Vindico Retail to an expanded retail delivery design and management role across its retail property portfolio.
Vindico has worked on Aldar's retail since 2008 and has supported the opening of over 600 shops and restaurants across the portfolio in that time. The teams have covered World Trade Center Mall, Boutik Al Ain — now Remal Mall — and Yas Mall, helping retailers through construction and authority interfaces across design, fit-out and mobilisation. In 2014 Aldar asked Vindico to fast-track openings across its 21 community shopping centres.
The new appointment consolidates both strands into one. Paul Mathews, Senior Retail Delivery Manager, says the blended site and studio team spent that year auditing and rebuilding the delivery framework for the community centres, while the major projects stabilised into trading assets — Yas Mall was fully trading twelve months after it opened. Combining the two into a single appointment follows from that, and the service level agreement behind it lets both sides respond to uneven volumes of activity across the properties.
Working on stores for the same tenants, brands, designers and contractors across multiple properties means we see the same faces and pick up where we left off from one unit to the next. That is what gets shops open and earning in less time.
Paul Wagner, Retail Delivery Manager and Aldar Portfolio Lead, Vindico
Vindico's role covers retail delivery design and management across the portfolio. Individual tenant fit-outs are delivered by the retailers and their contractors, working to the standards the appointment sets.
