A first store in a new market depends on more than a signed deal and a finished fit-out. It depends on design, approvals, delivery, and readiness moving in step.

Soulland opened its first Middle East store at Dubai Hills Mall on 11 July 2026. It is the Copenhagen label's first physical presence in the region and the first retail launch under ALTA Plus Ventures, the lifestyle arm of ALTA Real Estate Development.

Dubai Hills Mall is a regional centre within Dubai Hills Estate, managed by Emaar on behalf of the owners. Opening inside an operating mall of that scale means working to the property's design and delivery requirements, alongside the brand's own standards and the relevant statutory approvals.

Vindico Retail was engaged by ALTA Plus Ventures and worked the brand's side of that arrangement, from the first submission to the day the store traded. No single stage in that sequence decides whether a store opens on time. Every one of them can decide that it doesn't.

That work sits between parties rather than inside one discipline: between what the brand intends and what the property requires, between a design and its approval, and between a completed fit-out and a store ready to trade. Those are the points where first-store openings in unfamiliar markets usually slow.

Vindico role
Vindico worked on the brand side for ALTA Plus Ventures. The scope ran from design development and the preparation of architectural and technical submissions, through design review and approvals with Emaar as landlord, authority and statutory approvals, tender and shopfitter appointment, fit-out delivery management, and opening mobilisation.
