Technical criteria added to Vindico Retail's DIFC role

Design guidelines tell a tenant what a property expects to see. Technical criteria tell their engineers what the building can support.

DIFC Investments extended Vindico Retail's appointment under a second agreement to prepare those technical criteria, following the fit-out design guidelines and manual Vindico had written.

A second agreement on the same property is the clearest sign that the first piece was useful. It also means the documents now cover the full range, from design intent to engineering.

The two documents work together: a design that meets the guidelines still has to work with the building's services and structure.

Technical criteria are where fit-outs most often go wrong, because they are discovered late. Putting them in front of tenants at the start saves rework.
