'Last Exit' entrance for Gossip Cafe and Dessert

Gossip Café and Desserts has opened its latest outlet at Last Exit Al Khawaneej, the food truck concept by the Dubai developer Meraas. Vindico Retail's brand team managed the retail delivery process on behalf of the client, Gossip the Brand.

Gossip the Brand is a multi-concept Emirati company working across food and beverage, events and fashion. The Gossip Cafe & Desserts chain offers a fusion of traditional Emirati flavours and contemporary American cuisine.

This is our second Gossip Cafe & Desserts opening, in which we had an opportunity to participate earlier in the design process. We enjoyed the challenge of creating the feature Gossip Wall, which given the client's focus on authenticity in design, was shuttered and poured on site. The industrial theme saw us working with concrete and cold rolled steel throughout the fit out, yet with the touches of pink that link to the heart of the brand.

Richard Kim, Managing Director, places the work in the Brands and Buildings strategy — wrapping the firm's experience of the delivery process, particularly the interaction with the landlord and their building, around a growing brand.

Meraas, also a Vindico client, launched its first Last Exit at Jebel Ali South. Its success has produced three further locations, of which Al Khawaneej is the latest.

Vindico's role covered retail delivery management on behalf of the brand, including the design and construction of the feature wall. The property is developed and operated by Meraas.
