Vindico Retail appoints Paul Mathews as Chief Operating Officer

Paul Mathews has been promoted to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer. Working alongside Richard Kim, Managing Director and CEO, he will head the leadership team and oversee day-to-day operations across sales, client management, service delivery and business administration.

Mathews joined Vindico Retail in 2013 as Senior Retail Delivery Manager on the Yas Mall project team in Abu Dhabi, and has since broadened his remit across the business, including the implementation of the productisation agenda across sales, operations and finance.

Peter Row, Co-Founder and Director, says the elevation reflects both the strength of the leadership team as it has developed over the past eighteen months and Mathews' place within it, and that the working relationship between Kim and Mathews gives Kim capacity to develop market, product and partnership initiatives while Mathews takes a greater focus on execution.

Despite trading conditions in our core market remaining subdued we have continued to evolve our offer and the team to deliver it, positioning Vindico for growth in the changing global retail real estate industry. Paul becoming our COO is a natural progression. His depth of experience and affinity with our clients and team will allow him to build on Vindico's market position and reputation and develop the current and future leaders of our talented retail design and delivery team.
