Dubai Properties extends Vindico Retail portfolio retail delivery solution

Vindico Retail has renewed its agreement with Dubai Properties, providing retail delivery design, management and on-site services across the client's Dubai portfolio.

Dubai Properties first appointed Vindico in 2017 under a master framework agreement that let individual properties and projects order retail delivery products as they needed them. Following a review and refinement of the model, the agreement was renewed. Local property teams select from a menu of content, design, management and on-site services on a unit-by-unit basis — across a portfolio of residential and office-led mixed-use properties that each carry supporting retail and dining, among them Dubai Wharf, Bay Square in Business Bay, and the Mazael Al-Khor mixed-use development.

Our solution for Dubai Properties is another example of how our flexible product and fee structure aligns with a client whose variable retail delivery workload is spread across multiple development projects and operating properties. Umer Patel, Retail Delivery Manager and portfolio lead for the account, describes the shape of the work: at any point the team may be creating technical criteria on one property, updating lease outline drawings for another and running design review for brands across others. The service level agreement sets fees per product, turnaround times and deliverables, and distinguishes an operating property from a development project, where there is more to coordinate with the client's construction and leasing teams.

Vindico's role covers retail delivery products ordered under the framework. The properties are developed and operated by Dubai Properties, and each unit is fitted out by its brand.
