DLF Midtown Plaza opens in West Delhi

DLF Midtown Plaza has opened in Moti Nagar, West Delhi. DLF Retail describes it as its first neighbourhood lifestyle plaza. It offers around 2.8 lakh square feet of retail space on Shivaji Marg, with a PVR cinema, supermarket and home anchors, and cafés and restaurants among its roughly 150 brands. The first stores opened ahead of a formal launch by DLF Retail.

A neighbourhood plaza is a different job from a regional mall. It has many small tenants, a tight programme and little room between a lease being signed and a store needing to trade.

With this many tenants the drawings and the coordination decide the programme. A unit has to be defined accurately before it is leased, and every tenant then needs someone moving them to opening.
