Bhumi World's Outlet Mall of India opens

The first phase of the Outlet Mall of India has opened in Bhiwandi, within reach of Mumbai, Thane and Nashik. Bhumi World, its developer, bills it as Maharashtra's first outlet mall. It is built around value shopping, dining and entertainment, and is open every day of the year.

Bhumi World has described this opening as the first phase of a broader retail and lifestyle plan in Maharashtra. A phased opening changes the delivery task. Brands arrive in waves, each with its own design, approvals and fit-out, and the programme does not stop on the day the doors open.

An outlet mall opens in phases, so delivery never stops at the opening. Every new brand is a fresh run from design to trading, and the first phase is the rehearsal for the rest.
