Swarovski has appointed Vindico Retail to support its store delivery programme across the Middle East. The role sees Vindico represent the brand in its dealings with shopping centre owners and managers through the store design and fit-out process.

The appointment is a milestone in Vindico's Brands & Buildings strategy. Richard Kim, Managing Director, explains that having set out the previous year to learn more from tenants outside the usual landlord-tenant relationship, the firm found the overlap between tenant coordination and retail project management to be deeper than expected, and now works directly with brands.

From the landlord's perspective, we know how the best tenants and their suppliers perform to get their brands open and earning. That is our starting point when representing Swarovski. We already know the brand well as tenant coordinators, and we are looking forward to get even more of their stores open working alongside the Swarovski team.

Founded in 1895, Swarovski is represented in 170 countries. Unlike many international brands operating under licence in the GCC, Swarovski Middle East runs company-owned stores across the region from its headquarters in Dubai.

Vindico's role covers representation of the brand through store design, fit-out and landlord approvals. Each store is built by the brand's own contractors.
