The Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation has appointed Vindico Retail to coordinate tenant fit-outs at MiZa, the creative district in Abu Dhabi's former Mina Zayed port.

MiZa is a retrofit at scale. The masterplan covers 93 warehouses on a 45-hectare site in Abu Dhabi's former Mina Zayed port, converting them into a district for the capital's cultural and creative industries. Galleries, studios, workspace, a food hub and event spaces are planned among the converted buildings.
The Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation has appointed Vindico Retail to coordinate tenant fit-outs at MiZa, unit by unit.
A warehouse district does not fit a standard fit-out process. Each building has its own structure, its own services and its own tenant, and there is no repeating floor plate to learn from.
In a conventional mall, the tenth unit teaches you about the eleventh. In a district like MiZa, every unit starts from its own building. The coordination has to be done one tenant at a time.
Paul Mathews, Chief Operating Officer
Vindico's role is the coordination of tenant fit-outs. The masterplan, the development and the operation of MiZa sit with the Foundation and its design team.
