A'l Bahar opened on Abu Dhabi's Corniche with twenty food and beverage and four retail operators trading on time.

The A'l Bahar retail and dining project has opened on Abu Dhabi's Corniche, with twenty food and beverage and four retail operators trading in time for the Mother of the Nation Festival.
This was a very tight programme, in which we took Miral's tenants through the design and fitout process in two weeks, at the same time working with Miral's project team to get the converted containers ready for retail. The last container was delivered to site fifteen days ago.

The use of recycled containers continues the retail industry's adoption of alternative formats, particularly in foodservice destinations, which Miral Asset Management has designed into the Corniche precinct.
Richard Kim, Managing Director, sets the project against a wider shift: the traditional line between tenant project management and landlord tenant coordination continues to blur, and retail delivery spans that overlap. A'l Bahar is an example of it working to get space open ahead of a very public deadline.
The Mother of the Nation Festival, which celebrates the legacy of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, runs to 31 March.
Vindico Retail's role covered the retail delivery process on behalf of Miral, taking the brands through design and fit-out. The containers and the wider precinct were delivered by Miral's project team and contractors.
