United Developers has re-appointed Vindico Retail at Place Vendôme Mall to update the property's design guidelines and run design review as new deals are agreed.

A shopping centre needs different forms of control at different points in its life. Building one has an end date. Running one does not. Once the property is trading, every new deal creates another design to review and another route to open.
Vindico Retail was appointed at Place Vendôme Mall in January 2017, at foundation stage, and stayed through the April 2022 opening and into stabilisation. Over that period the team on the ground grew from six people to twenty-one. The role concluded at the end of 2023.
The two work as one system. The guidelines tell a brand what the property expects before it designs anything. The review tests the design against them while the deal is still being agreed, rather than after a contractor is on site. The brand knows where it stands early, and the property opens stores sooner.
Most of the delay in a fit-out is not disagreement, it is interpretation. A brand reads a guideline one way, a reviewer reads it another, and weeks go while they settle which is right. When the people who wrote the guidance are the people reviewing against it, that argument does not start.

Vindico has now worked at Place Vendôme through construction, opening, stabilisation and trading. The property opened in 2022. What continues is the same task at a different rhythm — one brand at a time, for as long as Place Vendôme trades.
