East Coast engages Vindico Retail for The Hills Mall, Fujairah

The Hills Mall is a shopping centre in Fujairah on the UAE's east coast, owned by East Coast.

East Coast has appointed Vindico Retail to prepare the design guidelines and the fit-out manual for the mall, and Vindico has delivered both.

A mall outside the main centres has the same obligation to its tenants as any other: a clear standard, set before they design. The guidelines are where an owner's ambition for the property gets written down.

The guidelines tell tenants what the mall expects of their design, and the manual tells their contractors how work is to be carried out. With the standard fixed up front and built to be kept live, tenants can design to it first time, and what is agreed in the deal can carry through to review and delivery instead of expectations being discovered late.
